In this project, which introduced students to Photoshop, students designed a personal logo. Students learned about symmetrical and asymmetrical compositions and balance. |

Students chose a pair of opposites to base a surreal scene on. Students created a scene with narrative and symbolic content in mind and particular attention given to giving the scene depth. |

Students designed a complete CD package. Students were asked to focus on a song and to bring the content and emotions of that song into their desigs. Emphasis was also places on making the designs cohesive in color, texture and content. Student reflections on work coming soon! |

Students invented comic book characters and designed covers for their imagined comic books. During this project, students took in the combined challenges of drawing with a mouse and learning Adobe Illustrator. Emphasis was placed on giving the images depth and on a graceful combination of text and image. |

Students created digital kaleidiscopes using Adobe Flash. Students looked both at Aleatoric art (art that embraces accident and chance) and mandalas from a variety of cultures for inspiration. Emphasis was placed on the exploration of abstraction and on comparing different versions of their creations.

Student animated still images to create digital postcards. Emphasis was placed on understanding the intricacies of working between Adobe Photoshop and Flash.
