GMS Power of KNOW!

First Meeting Monday October 2, 2017

The Power of Know Club is a club made up of young teens that feel that living a healthy and drug free life is important, and who also want to reach out and educate others about topics such as healthy eating, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, bullying, and healthy relationships. The club will be run and advised by Ms. Jill Herwig, the health education teacher at GMS.

Each week the students will meet to discuss current issues and topics that relate to healthy behaviors and healthy decisions, as well as they will be creating different events, contests, and learning opportunities for other students and teachers at GMS, and the community to take part in.  Our overall goal as a club is to identify current health issues that are happening around us and also to help reduce these issues by educating our peers and community.

If you would like your child to participate in this afterschool club, please have them see Ms. Herwig for a permission slip in room 324 or email jherwig@revere.mec.edu
