Healthy Notes

Did you know……….

Did you know that there are 18 tsp. of sugar in a 20 ounce  bottle of Mountain Dew?  Did you know that soft drinks are the number one source of calories in the American diet?

High intake of sugary drinks among children is associated with overweight and obesity, displacement of milk consumption, and dental cavities.

To combat this, promote water and low fat milk as the drinks of choice, and limit sugar sweetened drinks.

Stay healthy!
