Greater Boston Food Bank –On October 8, 2015, in conjunction with the Greater Boston Food Bank, we conducted our first Hill Food Bank. All Hill community members had the opportunity to shop and receive 45-50 pounds of perishable and non-perishable foods at no charge. Typically, fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables are available. The Greater Boston Food Bank helped us coordinate the first food pantry and after that Hill volunteers will be expected to serve at these monthly events. If you are interested in helping out, please contact the school. Special thanks to the Greater Boston Food Bank and all our volunteers for making this wonderful program possible! During the 2017-2018 School Year, the Food Bank will be held in the Hill School cafeteria from 3:00 to 4:00 on the first Thursday of every month.

Revere Author Nila Webster – In November, for the 5th consecutive year, Revere author Nila Webster shared her positive energy with the third grade. Her message to all students is each and every one is a gift and through this understanding we can make the world shine more brightly. In addition to reading her new book “The Magic of Moonlight” to our 3rd graders, she also donated a copy of the book to each Hill Grade 3 AND Grade 2 student. We truly appreciate the support Nila Webster provides to our school community and look forward to the future authors she has inspired. Thanks to Ms. Webster for visiting with us again and we look forward to seeing her again next year! – Nila Webster-Bio
